This Art to Heart Wiki is designed to provide a resource for sharing idea cards for participants in the online course Art to Heart.
Art to Heart is designed for early childhood professionals and parents. The content is applicable to preschool teachers, administrators, parents, pre-service teachers, and primary teachers. The research, models, videos and strategies through this course describe developmentally appropriate activities for young children under the age of 9. Through the course activities, participants will develop strategies for assessment, instruction, centers and activities using the Idea Card Structure to share these ideas. Participants will be applying the course content to their own settings. In the final project, students will share eight idea cards in this wiki with other course participants. Idea cards should be created considering the following idea-card-rubric. Participants may use this wiki to enhance and develop ideas prior to the final assessment. Here is a sample-idea-card. You may also consider adapting resources from the course like the creative-movement-checklist and adding such a document as an attachment to an idea card. The idea cards were chosen as a summative project to provide an on-going practical resource for you that is enhanced by this community of participants.
